Are Fortnite hacks safe? What actually gets people banned

Straight answer first: no cheat is risk free. Fortnite runs Easy Anti-Cheat, and bans can hit your account, and in some cases your hardware too.

What tends to make things worse is launching after a game update without checking whether the tool is still marked as working, and ignoring the setup guide. What helps is checking live status every time, following the guide, and not treating "undetected" as a permanent label. Status changes after patches.

If you do get a hardware ban, that's a separate problem from an account ban, and we cover it in the HWID ban thread.

What's been your experience with ban waves? Did you notice a pattern around updates?
